My Amazing Husband

So something amazing happened to me after I returned from my trip to AZ. To Preface, Cory and I moved into our Duplex about 3 months ago and I really hadn't taken the time to decorate it. #1 because I didn't want to stress Cory out by spending money on decorations and #2 because Cory is graduating from ATC School in 8 mo and we will probably move. So I didn't want to put the time and effort into decorating when I know We will just move. Anyways with that said, I came home from my trip, walked in the door, and looked around our home. I was amazed. The furniture was rearranged to open our floor-plan and all the frames were hung and new decorations had been purchased. In short my house was decorated, and I didn't have to do a thing! Wow, I didn't know what to say, It was so nice. I felt like those people on extreme home makeover. Even though my home is not decorated to the extreme that those peoples houses are on that show, I felt so lucky. Cory explained to me that Summer Adams, a really cute woman in our ward, had asked him to hang some chandeliers for her in her house and so he traded her interior decorating services for his handyman services. He also gave her $150 to spend at Hobby Lobby! I was so pleased, she did an amazing job. I just have to say that i feel like the luckiest Woman alive to be married to my Husband! He knows how to make me happy!

So I Went to AZ

I had the opportunity to go Home for a weekend from the 7/21-7/24. I love Arizona, it was so refreshing to go home! I was so happy I was able to be there to throw my brother, Kevin, a Missionary shower and see him off. That's my sister Kelly kissing him with me. I'm so proud of him, He is such a good kid, and I know he's going make an amazing missionary. Because my sister was in town for my brother's farewell I was able to spend time with my little niece Svea Lina Neilson. She was just born 7 weeks ago and is my parents first grandchild! I love her, she is so cute!!!

New Place

YAY! We finally moved out of our raunchy, smoke filled apt in Waco to a Duplex on TSTC campus...also in Waco! It is soooo much better! I'm probably the most excited because I don't have to hear the domestic violence going on in the apartments next to us. My favorite part about my new place is that the kitchen is 4 times bigger than my old kitchen, I have a dishwasher and i have a laundry room!!!!!

TSTC

Cory is in Air Traffic Control School at Texas State Technical College, and this is him standing proudly in-front of the entrance sign. I am so proud of him, he is doing incredibly in his program.

So my mom, my sister and I went to Las Vegas along with all of the women in our family for a Cousins retreat. We had a blast as you can plainly see in our Honey Bee costumes. In this picture we happened to be teaching a class on Pres. Hinckley's 9 Be's.

Valentines Day

I had such a wonderful Valentines Day! Valentines Day fell on a Monday this year so Cory drove down to Austin to surprise me. He met me after work with a beautiful bouquet of roses and tulips!

It snowed in Waco!!!!!!!

It snowed in Waco! I was so excited when it snowed, this is the first place that I have ever lived that it has snowed. The next day the sun was out and the snow melted away, that was enough snow for me. One snow-fall a Winter. Just enough to make a snow angel.

This was Awesome! Over christmas break my whole family hiked Camelback Mountain. It was funny, when we got to the top there was a tree decorated like a christmas tree.

I was looking through my camera and decided I would post some of the pictures from the past that I never took the time to post. One of the pictures is of Cory and I when we played Mary and Joseph at the Vanderpool Mary and Joseph reenactment last Christmas. It was fun, I'm holding my little nephew Denis (Baby Jesus).

My Letter Creation

This is a fun project that I'm really happy about, and every time I look at it on my wall it makes me smile. Goes to show a little bit of modge podge and scrapbook paper can come a long way! I downloaded a bigger picture of the "V", it was one of my favorites. All the other letters would have taken too much space and too much time to download, so I didn't download them.
